1. Information we collect
We collect account details such as name, email address and phone number; profile and verification data for handworkers; booking and service details; messages exchanged in the app; payment and payout information processed by our partners; device tokens for notifications; and city or service-address information used to fulfil bookings.
2. Client age declaration
We temporarily process the date of birth a client enters to determine whether the client declares that they are at least 18. We do not retain the entered date of birth after making that decision. We retain the resulting eligibility decision, declaration method and timestamp. This is a self-declaration and does not verify identity or the accuracy of the entered date.
3. How we use information
We use data to create and secure accounts, match clients with handworkers, process bookings and payments, deliver notifications, prevent fraud and abuse, resolve disputes, provide support and improve the service.
4. Sharing
We share information only as needed to operate My Helper: with the other party to a booking, infrastructure and messaging providers, payment partners, and authorities where required by law. A service address is shared with the assigned handworker only as needed to complete the booking. We do not sell personal data.
5. Retention and security
We retain account and marketplace records while an account is active and as needed for support, fraud prevention, dispute handling, accounting and legal obligations. We apply technical and organisational safeguards, but no transmission or storage method is completely secure.
6. Your choices
You can update profile information and notification preferences in the app. You can delete your account from Settings, or use our web deletion pathway. Some booking, payment and dispute records may be retained where required for legal, accounting, safety or fraud-prevention purposes.
